Trump’s push for law and order shows he’s no longer encumbered by government guardrails

The article linked above outlines why we should all be praying some form of a thorn hedge prayer about / against Donald Trump every single day.  (Something I’ve made a commitment to do every single day he is in office – I am a part of “The Hedge – 2025 – 28.)

In the article, Trump visits a theme he seems to be fond of; that HE is the one – and only one – who can “save” our cities.  Trump is the savior, the key, the cure, the only way to “MAGA” and we should let him do whatever he wants.  What I cannot fathom, is how and why so many Christians can listen to this and not recognize it for what it is – pure blasphemy.  Donald Trump wants to be God.  He may very well THINK he is God.  (He’s been clear in the past that he’s never asked for – and never will ask for – forgiveness; I guess he assumes he’s perfect – as any god would be?)

The article ends with “Indeed, Trump now routinely speaks of criminals as people without redemption. ‘They’re sick,’ he said recently, ‘and we’re taking them out.’”

Someone want to try and explain to me how ANY Christian – of any brand or stripe – can hold such an evil view of our fellow human beings?

HEDGE PRAYER FOR THE DAY:

Dear God, just listening to the blasphemy and lies of our current president shows clearly how much trouble our beloved nation is in.  We not only need you to hedge him in, contain his foul plans, deflect his conscienceless hate, break through the mental illness that seems to be consuming him… but Lord, we desperately need courageous people willing to be the Isaiah or Amos or Elijah of our day.  Without your help, loving God, our nation may indeed be truly doomed.  Like the persistent widow coming to the unjust judge, we beseech you, O Lord: Grant us justice against this unredeemed and unrepentant administration.  Amen.
