Holy and gracious God, just as Jesus once said “Peace, Be Still!” to the wind and waves on the Sea of Galilee, and assuaged the fear and panic of his disciples in the boat with him, please do the same to protect the people of Jamaica from the wind and waves of Hurricane Melissa. Place your hedge of protection around the entire island nation as they face the danger of a storm the likes of which we have never seen. Amen.
