You should read the article that appears on the AP News Website today:

“Supreme Court seems inclined to limit race-based electoral districts under the Voting Rights Act”

That article should tell you why the following Hedge Prayer concerning the 6 members of the Supreme Court that seem inclined to fully kill the voting rights act is both important and timely:

Lord God, we humbly ask you to hedge in those conservative members of our Supreme Court of these United States.  Prevent them from any ideological movement that will further limit and weaken the Voting Rights act.  O Lord, let Justices Roberts, Kavanaugh, Coney Barrett, Roberts, Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch find a solid wall of thorns in their path if they continue trying to open a door for racist  and illegitimate legislatures to illegally redraw congressional maps for their own political gain.  Guide them, steer them, limit them Lord; to an outcome and decision that honors and upholds all Americans.  Hedge them in O God; far too many people need the protection they seem willing to destroy.  Amen.
